Welcome to 7th Woking Scout Group - Beaver Scouts

Beaver Scouts

The Beaver Scouts section is the first section in the 7th Woking Scout Group for young people usually aged between six and eight years old.

Here the first steps in learning scouting skills start in a fun way.

Easily recognised by their distinctive turquoise sweatshirts, Beaver Scouts enjoy making friends, playing games, going on visits and helping others.

The 7th Woking Beaver Scouts meet once a week, on Thursdays during term time. The Colony has a particularly active and exciting programme for the coming year. The Beavers will learn about other countries and festivals, and try their hand at cooking and crafts. Trips planned for the year include a hike in the local countryside, and a visit to the local Fire Station.

Beaver Scouts also get the opportunity to meet other Beaver Scouts at District and County events such as Science Day, and District and County Fun Days. In addition, they take part with the Cub and Scout sections in Scouts Own and parade services.

Beaver Scouts can earn badges for activities that they take part in, and can also earn badges for completing challenges that build towards the highest award in Beaver Scouting: the Chief Scout's Bronze Award.

Beaver Scouts can move to the next Section, Cub Scouts, at the age of eight.
